Return to your hotel in jerusalem, via ein karem, the birthplace of john the baptist.
Wednesday walk through one of the gates of the walled old city of jerusalem, to the renewed jewish quarter, the western wall, the temple area and the colourful bazaars.
Walk the via dolorosa, the way of suffering, ending at the church of the holy sepulchre.
Drive to mount zion, and visit the tomb of king david, the room of the last supper and dormition abbey.
Journey through the jordan valley and the new settlements to beit shean.
Visit the excavations of this beautifully preserved roman city.
Travel on to tiberias, the old centre of jewish learning.
Drive along the shores of the sea of galilee to capernaum, to visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue before continuing on to a kibbutz hotel for an overnight stay.
Friday drive towards the golan heights, via banias, source of the jordan river, visiting the former syrian fortifications and druze villages enroute.
Continue via the hula valley to safed, city of kabbalah, to visit a synagogue and the artists colony, and then on to nazareth to visit the christian holy sites.
Return to the kibbutz hotel for an overnight stay.
Saturday after breakfast, drive west to acre for a visit to the old famous crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications.
Continue to haifa, for a sightseeing tour of the city, including the bahai shrine, persian garden and mount carmel, for a panoramic view of the city and bay.
Proceed along the coast to caesarea to visit the roman theatre and the crusader fortress.
End the day with a short city tour of tel avivjaffa.
Overnight in tel aviv.
Sunday transfer to ben gurion airport for your return flight to the uk.
